housecast

An estate agency in Sussex has partnered with an AI firm to launch the UK’s first post-viewing podcast for prospective buyers.

Called Housecast, it is now being used by estate agency Ashton Stripp based in Battle, which says its podcasts change how people reflect on viewings and helps them emotionally connect with a home.

Anyone completing a viewing via the estate agency is now sent a three to four minute summary of the property as a ‘podcast’ including a mix of highlights from the home from layout reminders and features to garden orientation and renovation potential — along with local insights, historical stories, school catchment details, and lifestyle context.

We wanted to give people something that brings the viewing back to life — not just the features, but the feeling.”

The estate agency’s founder, Paul Stripp (main image), says: “We wanted to give people something that brings the viewing back to life — not just the features, but the feeling.

“It’s a gentle reminder of what they’ve just experienced, helping them put it all in context — the house, the street, the potential. “It’s often that clarity after a viewing that nudges someone closer to a decision. To our knowledge after extensive research of UK and international trade sources we’ve not found anything else specifically like this offering.”

Housecast was developed by AI expert Paul Hurley of Trai

Trainr AI and uses the estate agency’s internal notes, property descriptions, and local data sources.

“This is about making AI feel human,” says Hurley. “We’ve built a system that turns static property data into a friendly voice buyers can picture themselves living with.

“The bigger point is that every organisation should be looking at how AI can unlock entirely new offerings. We’ve done the same for sports clubs and for logistics fleets.’
Housecast is simply the property world’s turn, and it shows how quickly fresh ideas can become real products.”

Stripp adds: ““Early feedback shows buyers listening right after viewings. We’ve had viewers tell us it helped them remember exactly what stood out about a property, especially when they were seeing three or four in a day,” added Stripp.
