Lasting an impressive 56 episodes after coupling up at the very start of season 12, Megan and her partner, Dejon Noel Williams have been dropped from the show.

But how will Megan be remembered for her stint on Love Island? Fan reaction has been mixed towards her and Dejon.

When Meg and Dejon were eliminated just before the final on Monday, numerous fans took to social media to say they were celebrating the pairs departure.

Many felt their behaviour had a degree of perceived inauthenticity – with fans suggesting that both were more set on the prize pot of £50,000 rather than looking to make a meaningful connection.

Even host Maya Jama took a swipe at Dejon during the couples final episode by adding: “Dejon you’re obviously very aware of the cameras.”

Megan has also been branded a ‘mean girl’ by some fans who added they found her unfriendly and manipulative as well as accusing her of orchestrating drama with fellow islanders like Toni, Shakira, and Yasmin.

Despite leaving the villa hand in hand, it was not always plain sailing for Megan and Dejon and many questioned if Meg was emotionally equipped to be on the show after Dejon kissed new bombshell Poppy Harrison.

One incident that also turned Love Island fans against Meg was her apparent mocking of new arrival Ellie Jackson after she briefly caught Dejon’s attention.

She was caught mocking Ellie’s appearance and voice, which sparked massive backlash online, with one fan writing on X: “Meg is giving high school bully vibes. I can’t stand the group energy anymore.”

In spite of Meg receiving a somewhat negative reaction online she seemed happy to be going home with Dejon in the episode.

Megan also far outlasted the last contestant from Southampton to appear on the show, with season 11’s Hugo Godfroy only lasting ten days.
