Liverpool’s lineup for their second of two friendlies against Athletic Club is closer to their strongest XI, with Florian Wirtz among five new signings to start.

After a mixed side of squad players and youngsters earned a 4-1 victory in the first friendly, Arne Slot has restored his key names for their 8pm kickoff.

With Alisson absent that means another start for Giorgi Mamardashvili, filling the goal behind a back four of Jeremie Frimpong, Ibrahima Konate, Wataru Endo and Milos Kerkez.

Ryan Gravenberch will take up the No. 6 role with Dominik Szoboszlai and Wirtz joining him in midfield.

Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo flank £79 million striker Hugo Ekitike in a strong, versatile front three.

As with the earlier kickoff Slot’s bench is largely made up of youngsters, with Kieran Morrison, Amara Nallo, Josh Davidson and new signing Will Wright joining fit-again Federico Chiesa.

Alisson is not Liverpool’s only absentee, with Virgil van Dijk ill and both Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley sidelined through injury.

Tyler Morton is also not with the squad as he closes in on a £15 million move to Lyon.

Liverpool: Mamardashvili; Frimpong, Konate, Endo, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Szoboszlai, Wirtz; Salah, Gakpo, Ekitike

Substitutes: Pecsi, Nallo, Davidson, Morrison, Chiesa, Wright
