A Sutherland musician is thrilled to have had the honour of performing for King Charles.
Professional harpist and singer Jennifer Port, from Golspie, performed at a private reception at the Castle of Mey on Saturday, August 2.
The king is currently staying at the castle and has been carrying out a number of official duties. He is due to visit and unveil a plaque at Old Clyne School, work on which is nearing completion, on Wednesday, August 6.
Jennifer, who kept the royal invitation a secret, said the king had thanked her for entertaining his guests and had asked about her musical career.

Jennifer met King Charles who asked her about her career.
She said: “It was my honour to perform for His Majesty. The king was very kind, taking the time to speak with me and to express his thanks.”
Sutherland Lord-Lieutenant Patrick Marriott said: “I am delighted that Jennifer Port was invited to play for His Majesty the King and his guests at the Castle of Mey.
“A gifted musician, Jennifer personifies the musical depth and talent in Sutherland. Her playing will have given those present a great example of skill, of style and of quality. My congratulations to her.”
