Rodrygo has reportedly made a decision regarding his future
The new Premier League season is fast approaching for Arsenal as they look to go one better after three consecutive second placed finishes and lift the trophy after a two-decade wait.
With less than two weeks until the Gunners’ inaugural match of the season against Manchester United at Old Trafford, the anticipation is building. This means there’s a lot on Mikel Arteta’s plate to ensure his squad is in top form. The North London side still have two pre-season friendlies left to prepare themselves for their clash with the Red Devils, facing off against Spanish teams Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao.
These matches will provide an opportunity for a slew of new signings to gel with the team, including former Chelsea player Noni Madueke who is expected to join his new team-mates soon. Meanwhile, Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi and Cristhian Mosquera will all have their first chance to play at the Emirates Stadium. While Arsenal already boast several new additions, their transfer market activity may not be over just yet.
The Gunners remain interested in bringing a new winger into the fold. And it seems they’ve already identified their target. Here’s all the latest Arsenal transfer news.

Despite significant interest from the Premier League, Rodrygo appears set to remain with Real Madrid, reports the Mirror.
Arsenal had previously been linked with a summer move for the Brazilian winger, 24, although they face competition from Liverpool and Tottenham.
However, it seems that Rodrygo is keen to remain at his current club. Spanish publication AS reports that the player is eager to stay at the Bernabeu and fight for his place under Xabi Alonso.
Rodrygo is confident in his ability to enhance the squad’s existing options. This could potentially prompt Arsenal to seek attacking reinforcements elsewhere.

While Liverpool were reportedly interested in competing with Arsenal for Rodrygo, they have already outpaced their Premier League rivals in securing one player.
The Reds have confirmed the signing of Salford City striker Will Wright, 17, despite Arsenal having previously agreed a deal with the teenager.
It was earlier reported that Arsenal had offered around £250k for the young talent, but he has chosen to head to Anfield instead.
Wright has already made an appearance for Liverpool, impressing in a 3-2 friendly win over Bilbao, as Arteta looks to have missed out on an exciting young talent.
Young talent turns down Arsenal
French defender Jeremy Jacquet has declined a move to Arsenal following an approach from the Gunners.
It was suggested that the North London club had attempted to sign the 20 year old.
However, according to Foot Mercato, Jacquet has turned down the opportunity and his current club Rennes are now trying to fend off any further interest by offering the youngster a new contract until 2029.
