Tom Holland likes his casting rumors shaken, not stirred.

Appearing on Gordon Ramsay’s YouTube channel, the Spider-Man actor, 29, acknowledged that “there’s speculation at the minute” about him being tapped as the actor to inherit the role of James Bond.

“Ever thought about using the word James with future movies going forward?” quipped Ramsay, 58. “We’ll keep it to a minimum for now,” Holland teased in response. “We’ll get there one day.”

“Seriously, can you imagine what’s going to happen to your life if you do?” asked the chef, referring to Holland taking on 007. “You’d love the opportunity, right?”

“Every young British actor, it’s the pinnacle of working in our industry,” confirmed Holland. “I already consider myself to be the luckiest kid alive, you know? I could never have dreamed to have the career that I’ve had.”

Dune director Denis Villeneuve and Peaky Blinders screenwriter Steven Knight are helming the next James Bond movie for Amazon MGM Studios, with Amy Pascal and David Heyman joining longtime franchise producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson.

Speculation has swirled for months about which actor could take on Ian Fleming’s iconic MI6 agent following Daniel Craig’s recent portrayal in four Bond films. The role has also been played by Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan and more.

Holland stars in two upcoming films: Spider-Man: Brand New Day (in theaters May 1, 2026) and director Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey (in theaters on July 17, 2026).

Both projects also star Holland’s fiancée Zendaya, who plays Michelle “MJ” Jones in the Spider-Man franchise. After getting engaged in January, the superstar couple have not revealed details or a timeline for their nuptials.
