A popular figure among the Leeds United fanbase is once again set to leave Elland Road, sparking a bittersweet reaction from supporters.
Leeds United’s transfer window has been largely dominated by new talent arriving at Elland Road, such as Lucas Perri and Lukas Nmecha.
Despite this, some players who have spent a considerable amount of time at the club are leaving.
One player who, according to Daniel Farke, could ‘kill a cow’ with his shot, is leaving Elland Road for another loan spell and fans have been sharing their thoughts.

The 23-year-old did not travel with the pre-season group to either Sweden or Germany after a loan to Hull City to end last season.
Despite having two years on his contract and having benefitted from two Championship loans during his time at Leeds at Hull and Sunderland, Don Goodman believes Leeds should let Gelhardt go for the good of his career.
It’s thought that a transfer fee between £3 million and 4 million is required for Gelhardt to leave, and fans have shared their thoughts.
One fan said: “Sad really. Didn’t get a great deal of playing time with us. Best of luck to the lad.”

The financial reasons behind Joe Gelhardt’s second loan to Hull
Leeds United’s decision to loan Joe Gelhardt to Hull City again is a strategic move driven by financial constraints and squad management.
The club must adhere to Profitability and Sustainability (PSR) rules, which limit the amount of money they can lose over a set period. Relegation from the Premier League significantly reduced their broadcast revenue, putting pressure on the club to manage its finances carefully.
One key aspect of this is the wage bill. Loaning out players like Gelhardt helps Leeds to trim these costs, as Hull will likely cover a portion of his salary.

With a large squad and fierce competition for attacking spots, Gelhardt’s opportunities at Leeds would be limited. Players like Patrick Bamford and Joel Piroe are ahead of him in the pecking order.
Sending him on loan ensures he gets valuable playing time, which is crucial for his development, while also helping the club manage its finances and stay compliant with PSR regulations.
Although he has a long-term contract, his loan spell allows the club to maintain him as an asset while he gains experience elsewhere.
