An estate agency based in Armagh has made its first venture into the north-west with the acquisition of a practice in Londonderry.

CPS Property Group said it was now expanding to serve Derry with the acquisition of Donnybrook Estate Agents in the city.

The Armagh firm, founded by director Art O’Hagan, described the deal as a “significant milestone in our shared growth”.

Donnybrook Estate Agents was founded in 1997 by Stephen and Ciara McCarron.

Mr O’Hagan said: “We are incredibly excited to welcome Donnybrook Estate Agents into the CPS Property family.

“Stephen and Ciara have built a fantastic business with a deep-rooted reputation for excellence in the Derry/L’Derry market.

“This collaboration is a natural progression of our services and a testament to our confidence in the region’s potential.

“We look forward to working together to serve the people of Derry/L’Derry with the highest level of service.”

As part of the deal, Mr McCarron has been given the new role of land and new homes director within the CPS Group.

CPS Property Group describes itself as “Northern Ireland’s largest geographically spread real estate agency”.

It was set up by Mr O’Hagan in 1987, with his sons Eoin and Shane O’Hagan later joining the business.

Last month, CPS Property announced the hiring of Armagh GAA football captain Aidan Forker, who led the team to All-Ireland victory in 2024, as business development manager.

According to CPS Property, Mr Forker is now “leading the charge in delivering creative strategies that ensure CPS remains at the forefront of the property market”.
