An application to turn the former European Mini Market at 75, Long Lane, into a takeaway which would create around four jobs, will be considered by planners. 

Notes state the proposed takeaway would be open from 11am to 11pm Monday to Friday and from 11am till 10pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays. 

They go on to say: “These hours will not affect the current daytime limited parking as the takeaway is targeted at the nearby residents and other business located in the vibrant area of Long Lane.

“In respect of local employment, the proposed takeaway will be employing approx. 4 local people. 

“It is proposed the takeaway will not have a licence to sell alcohol.

“Adequate refuse storage and disposal facilities are already provided.to the side yard area of the property.”

It states deliveries would be made by small vans and before 8am with parking available opposite the premises. 

New cooking extraction equipment would be installed. 

The application, for a change of use from retail to hot food takeaway and installation of external extraction equipment, in the Halesowen North ward, was submitted on August 1.
