Brad Pitt’s mother, Jane Etta Pitt, has died at the age of 84.
It has been reported that the Hollywood actor’s mother, who was snapped with the star on red carpets on several occasions, has died.
Sydney Pitt, who is Brad’s niece and daughter of his brother Doug, confirmed the news with an Instagram post, dedicated to her ‘sweet Grammy.’
‘My sweet Grammy, Jane Etta, we were not ready for you to go yet but knowing you are finally free to sing, dance, and paint again makes it a tad easier.
‘If you knew Grammy, you knew she had the biggest heart. She cared deeply for everyone and everything, no questions asked.’
Sydney reminisced on some of her fondest memories and added: ‘She could keep up with all 14 of us grandkids without missing a beat. There was no limit to the love she gave, and everyone who met her felt it.

‘I don’t know how we move forward without her. But I know she’s still here in every brushstroke, every kind gesture, every hummingbird. She was love in its purest form.
‘We were truly blessed to have her to love on growing up and I know she lives on through each of us ♥️’
Sources told TMZ that she died this week in the last couple of days.
It is unclear at this time what the cause of death was.

Jane Etta (née Hillhouse) was a school counsellor and was married to William Alvin Pitt, the proprietor of a trucking company.
In the 1960s, the couple lived in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and later moved to Springfield, Missouri.
Pitt had three children: her eldest son Brad, followed by Doug Pitt (born 1966) and Julie Neal (née Pitt) (born 1969).
When Brad came to fame, the couple would infrequently support him on the red carpet, preferring to keep out of the limelight.
Famously, they attended the 2012 Academy Awards with Brad’s then partner, Angelina Jolie.
In 2014, they also appeared on the red carpet at the premiere of Jolie’s film Unbroken, along with some of their grandchildren from the then Jolie-Pitt clan.
