The Premier League season is almost upon Leeds United, as a gruelling task lies ahead.

With the Whites’ season getting underway in just 11 days, Daniel Farke still has time to prepare for the opener against Everton.

So far, seven new faces have entered the frame, and it looks to have considerably improved Leeds’ chances in the top flight.

The 49ers have put their words into action, but the supercomputer still sees Leeds getting relegated.

Many others expect this with the ongoing trend in the Premier League, as pundits Joe Cole and Owen Hargreaves have given their opinions for the season ahead.

All three of the newly promoted clubs are unlikely to be backed this season, but if anyone has a chance, it’s the Whites.

Farke’s side look the strongest, but Troy Deeney sees Burnley staying over Leeds, and more pundits are not giving the peacocks any chance.

Cole and Hargreaves have revealed their predictions to TNT Sports, and once again, it’s not a good look for the West Yorkshire side.

MORE LEEDS UNITED STORIES

As disappointing as this is to see for Leeds, this should only give Farke and co fuel to prove their doubters wrong.

The German will want to especially prove Cole wrong, as his past comments won’t want to be repeated with the Whites next season.

Joe Cole said Leeds United boss Daniel Farke was main issue at Norwich City in Premier League

With Leeds showing good business this summer, they might be lacking that final ambition to win over pundits.

There is hope that Leeds can achieve Premier League survival, but the 49ers know at least another two or three players are needed, especially in the attack.

If this isn’t achieved, Farke could face the same problems he endured during his Norwich City tenure in the top flight, as after Cole’s harsh prediction, he’s not held back on his assessment of the German in the past.

Speaking to BT Sport in 2021 when the Canaries just lost 7-0 to Chelsea, the former Blues forward made a brutal claim about the now Whites boss.

“I’ve watched Norwich, I look at the players and I don’t think they’re playing for the manager,” Cole said.

“Norwich were all over the shop. They changed their system to 5-2-3 as Farke tried to match Chelsea up, but it is a terrible decision to make.

“The problem is with Farke.”

Of course, just two weeks later, the 48-year-old found that the Norwich board clearly agreed with Cole.

But now is the time for Farke to show the pundit that his fortunes have changed in the Premier League.

Leeds don’t want to encounter the same problems, and the hope is that the manager has learnt from his mistakes as Farke looks to shock many doubters.
