Princess Charlotte has been capturing our hearts with her Royal appearances since she was a little girl. The nine year old daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales is regularly spotted at Royal events such as Trooping the Colour, where she’s best known for keeping her younger brother, Prince Louis, in line during carriage rides and balcony appearances.

Charlotte, who also has an older brother, Prince George, bears a remarkable resemblance to both her parents. However, sharp-eyed Royal fans noticed she also looks incredibly similar to two other members of the Royal Family. It comes as a DNA website reveal surnames that could mean you’re related to the Royal Family.

A recent viral post by a Royal enthusiast highlighted Princess Charlotte bears an uncanny resemblance to her late grandmother, Princess Diana, when she was a young girl.

But that’s not all, because she also appears to look remarkably like her late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.

Photographs of the two women in their childhood were placed next to an image of Charlotte on Facebook, and the similarities are striking.

Commenters on the post were divided between saying Charlotte “looks like the Queen” and she “resembles Diana”, suggesting she’s similar to both her late family members.

Others, however, insisted she is “a beautiful young girl in her own right”. One person commented: “Charlotte looks like Charlotte. She is very pretty and has inherited the beauty genes of her mother, Diana, and the Queen, but she will be beautiful because of that as she grows into a beautiful woman. God bless you, Princess Charlotte.”

Sadly, Princess Charlotte never got the opportunity to meet her grandmother, as Princess Diana died in 1997 when her son – and Charlotte’s father – Prince William was just 15 years old.

Nevertheless, she did enjoy a special relationship with her great-grandmother, the late Queen, who passed away in 2022 when Charlotte was seven.

In fact, the Queen once made a touching gesture that would permanently change their family, after she introduced a major amendment to a Royal law that transformed the line of succession.

Prior to the birth of William and Kate’s first child, the Queen passed the Succession to the Crown Act, which modernised Royal laws, guaranteeing their children would have an equal right to the throne, regardless of gender.

Whilst Prince George’s status as third and now second in line to the throne remained unchanged as a male heir, the Queen’s ruling guaranteed their daughter kept her position and wasn’t pushed down by the arrival of their third child, Prince Louis.
