Sonafilm, the Costa Blanca Film Music Festival, returns this August with a dynamic programme celebrating music for film, TV and video games. The festival includes free and ticketed events across Denia, Calpe and Ondara, showcasing Spain’s leading composers and international guests.
On Saturday August 16 at 8:00 pm, the Made in Spain 3 concert returns for a third year, once again celebrating some of the finest Spanish composers working in screen music today. Featuring Arturo Cardelús, Isabel Royán, Iván Palomares, Josué Vergara and Óscar Araujo, the evening offers a live symphonic experience performed by the Universal Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of José Martínez Colomina.
The programme includes several world premieres, such as Parany, Antonio Ferrandis Theme, AER and Olvido, as well as music from Buñuel in the Labyrinth of the Turtles, DragonsKeeper and the epic Blades of Fire suite by Araujo. The concert will be presented by Gorka Oteiza from SoundTrack Fest. Entry is free until the venue is full. The festival reminds attendees that entry management for this event is handled by the Calpe City Council, not the festival, and advises early arrival.
