Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street has confirmed Theo Silverton’s dark past after Todd Grimshaw uncovered some bad news.
In recent weeks, Theo has started to turn nasty towards his boyfriend Todd, asserting control and manipulating his partner if he sees his attention turn elsewhere.
In tonight’s (8 August) episode, Todd feared that Theo had some skeletons in his closet and decided to dig into his boyfriend’s past.
When Theo took a call from the social worker, who had arrived to talk to him about his kids, Gary offered to run him home. As the pair approached Gary’s van they found a drunken Aadi leaning against it.
Theo tried to steer Aadi away from the van but he fell over and banged his head, with Dev accusing Theo of causing the fall and attacking his son. Dev made a phone call and Theo headed off to the meeting, leaving Gary and Dev to deal with an upset Aadi.

After Jess approached Theo in the street, she told him that there had been a report of an incident at the precinct and he needed to go down to the station to answer some questions.
Billy called in at the flat, telling Todd that he saw Theo being taken off in a police car while relaying words from the social worker, who said they would have to reschedule the meeting to check if Theo’s crime was violent.
A perplexed Todd tried to find out more about the crime and, when Theo got home, he was confronted by Todd and Billy, who told him that the social worker let slip about his criminal past.
Todd showed him an article which detailed a violent altercation he had with his wife in a restaurant, though Theo soon played it down.
He assured Todd that he lost his temper while trying to protect Danielle from a man who was shouting at her, adding that all the charges were dropped and he’s not that person anymore.

“I shouldn’t have lost me temper, but the guy was a thug and all I was doing was protecting my wife,” Theo explained. “I shouldn’t have snapped like that.
“But I was so full of rage because I felt trapped. My life with Danielle was a lie. But I’m not that person any more. Why should I be? I’ve got you.”
What next for the pair?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
