Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale’s Ruby Miligan has vowed revenge against Ross Barton after she caught him kissing Manpreet Sharma.
In tonight’s episode, Ruby was still upset after her daughter Steph had left her and Caleb to go to Rome for a yoga retreat followed by some travelling.
Steph’s decision was partially motivated by finding out that her ex Ross had slept with Manpreet when they were broken up, despite he assuring her he hadn’t seen anyone else.
At the cafe, Ruby bumped into Manpreet, who apologised again and tried to smooth things between them.

“I have told you, it was a one-off, okay?” the GP said.
“Steph and Ross weren’t even together. And if I’d known it was gonna cause this amount of trouble, I would never have gone near the guy!” she added.
Ruby conceded: “It’s okay. I’m sorry that I snapped.”
“It’s just that it took so long for her to come back to us, and I can’t believe she’s gone again. But I shouldn’t be blaming you, or Ross,” she continued.
As the village, led by Cain Dingle, was still side eyeing the friendship between Ross and Manpreet, the two ended up getting together again.
When Ross hurt his hand trying to prove his mechanic skills to Cain, Manpreet offered to dress the wound.
At her place, she and Ross talked about their one-night stand, with Manpreet apologising for the chaos that followed.
When Manpreet said them sleeping together was “a mistake” as they’d agreed, Ross replied: “You said that, not me.”

“There’s a big difference between a mistake and something not being a big deal,” he added.
They made eye contact, before Ross leaned over for a kiss. Manpreet responded to the kiss, but stopped to say: “This is a bad idea, Ross.”
“All the fun ones are,” he replied, before kissing her again.
Later on, Ruby saw Moira Dingle in the village, with Moira asking about Steph.

After Ruby confirmed her daughter had landed okay and was already nursing her broken heart with pizza, Moira said that Ross felt “awful” about what happened.
“I can tell he really liked Steph,” Moira told Ruby.
“Don’t you make me feel guilty as well. I’ve had all this from Manpreet,” responded Ruby.
“I know they didn’t set out to hurt her, but… Steph’s so fragile, and I just hate that it ended like that.”

As they were chatting, they spotted Ross leaving Manpreet’s as the maybe-couple giggled and kissed.
“One day my daughter’s been gone. One day,” Ruby told Moira. “I should never have believed them,” she added.
Moira asked Ruby what she intended to to, with her replying ominously: “Only what they deserve.”
