Casting has been announced for the tour of Matilda The Musical, which will stop at the Bristol Hippodrome next year.
The show, based on Roald Dahl’s classic book, will star Madison Davis, Mollie Hutton, Olivia Ironmonger, and Sanna Kurihara, who will share the role of Matilda.
They will be joined by Richard Hurst as Miss Trunchbull, Tessa Kadler as Miss Honey, Adam Stafford as Mr Wormwood, and Rebecca Thornhill as Mrs Wormwood.
The production, celebrating 15 years on stage, will begin performances at the Curve in Leicester on Monday, October 6.
After Leicester, the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production will travel to cities including Bradford, Liverpool, Plymouth, and more, before arriving at the Bristol Hippodrome, from Tuesday, June 2 to Saturday, June 27, 2026.

The musical, which features music and lyrics written by Tim Minchin, has been a massive success internationally, playing to audiences across 100 cities worldwide.
It has been seen by 12m people and has won more than 100 awards globally, including 24 for Best Musical.
Matilda The Musical tells the story of a strong-willed young girl with a vivid imagination.
The show has also been adapted into a film, which had its world premiere at the London Film Festival in October 2022 and is now available to watch on Netflix.
The creative team behind the successful musical includes writer Dennis Kelly, director Matthew Warchus, and set designer Rob Howell.
Choreography has been handled by Peter Darling, while Christopher Nightingale contributes orchestrations, additional music, and musical supervision.
Lighting is by Hugh Vanstone, sound by Simon Baker, and special effects and illusions by Paul Kieve.
Returning to the touring cast are performers Scotty Armstrong, Sam Holden, Portia Jefferies, and others.
Meanwhile, Rudy Bragg, Jacob Connor-Ashton, Charlie Cox, and other young talents have also been confirmed.
