Everton have identified Sheffield United striker Tyrese Campbell as a target as they look to bolster their attack this summer.

The 25-year-old, who is the son of Toffees legend Kevin Campbell, found his feet at Bramall Lane last season, scoring 11 goals in the Championship.

While the Blues have signed Thierno Barry from Villarreal, they arguably need more options up front after Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja’s departures.

Stoke City have shown interest in Youssef Chermiti, and the Merseyside outfit may opt to push ahead with signing Campbell soon.

Campbell was of “genuine” interest to the Toffees this summer, according to Danny Hall.

The Star journalist revealed on X (9 August) that the Blues are keeping a close eye on the 25-year-old, but he wants to stay at Sheffield United.

It’s been claimed that the centre-forward wants to repay the faith shown in him at Bramall Lane, but the Merseyside outfit continue to have the Englishman on their radar.

While Campbell seems adamant about staying in South Yorkshire, the Toffees may go back for him with a lucrative offer that can’t be refused.

The Blades also missed out on Premier League promotion after losing the play-off final to Sunderland, and Everton may be able to entice the striker with top-flight football.

Even if the 25-year-old opts to stay at Sheffield United, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Merseyside outfit reignite their interest in January or next summer.

Who are the attacking targets for Moyes this summer?

Manchester City forward Jack Grealish is someone the Toffees are hoping to sign on loan before the end of August, but his wages may be an obstacle.

Everton have seen multiple bids rejected by Southampton for Tyler Dibling, and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds in the coming weeks.

Moyes arguably needs a new number nine and a couple of wingers at his disposal ahead of next season, and Campbell seems like the right option for Everton at this moment.

The Friedkin Group have a lot of work to do before the end of the transfer window, and fans won’t be pleased if more additions aren’t made in L5 soon.
