Terence Crawford still dons a flawless record yet to be defeated in professional boxing, but he has had to show heart throughout his career.

On September 13, Terence Crawford will take on by far his toughest opponent to date when he meets Canelo Alvarez in the boxing ring for the undisputed super middleweight title.

It will mark TKO boxing‘s inaugural event after it was announced earlier this year that UFC boss Dana White and Turki Alalshikh will be teaming up to change the sport of boxing.

And ahead of his first event as a main boxing promoter, White had to get in the middle of a near brawl between Crawford and Canelo when they almost clashed at the pre-fight press conference.

Crawford and Canelo are both considered two of the best pound-for-pound fighters on the planet, with it set to be one of the biggest fights in recent memory.

The Mexican champion doesn’t have a flawless record like Crawford, having lost to Floyd Mayweather early in his career, as well as a dominant loss to Dmitry Bivol a few years ago.

And although ‘Bud’ is undefeated in 41 professional fights, he has come close to losing his flawless record on a few occasions, and has had to show his championship mettle to come back in some fights.

In August 2020, it was announced that Crawford would defend his WBO welterweight title against the popular Brit, Brook, and heading into the fight, Crawford was a huge -1439 favorite.

Despite that, early in the fight both boxers came out extremely tentatively, landing the occasional jab and fighting an extremely tactical fight.

However, in the fourth round whilst down on the scorecards, Crawford landed a huge right hand that sent Brook stumbling towards the ropes and subsequently, the top half of his body went under the ropes.

Crawford then swarmed on him and landed a few more shots as the referee pushed him away and started a standing 10 count.

Although Brook answered the count, he was once again swarmed shortly after and the referee put a stop to the fight.

Will Terence Crawford keep his undefeated record against Canelo?

Ahead of his fight against Canelo, Crawford was urged not to take the fight by Mike Tyson, who fears that the weight difference will prove way too much for him to overcome.

He will have to put on one of the best performances of his career if he is to step out of the Allegiant Stadium with his undefeated record intact, and he isn’t being backed by many to do so.
