Another week down, and, per usual, a bunch of new tech and gadgets have been announced.

This past week, Audioengine upgraded its popular desktop speakers, Yamaha revealed its most advanced Dolby Atmos soundbar to date, and Camp Snap announced a retro-inspired digital camera. But that’s just scratching the surface.

Below, we’ve rounded up all the most interesting new releases and announcements you might have missed from the past week.

Audioengine

Audioengine HD3 Next Gen (2025)

The Audioengine HD3 Next Gen is the latest iteration of the company’s HD3 powered speaker system, which was first introduced in 2016. These “Next Gen” models resemble their predecessors and are designed for desktop/ laptop use, but they’ve been upgraded with a USB-C connection, an improved 24-bit DAC, and support for Bluetooth aptX. They are available in three finishes: satin black, real walnut veneer, and high-gloss piano white.

Yamaha

Yamaha True X Surround 90A

Yamaha claims that the True X Surround 90A is its “most advanced” Dolby Atmos soundbar yet. It’s a complete surround sound package comprised of a soundbar, wireless subwoofer and two wireless surround (or rear-channel) speakers. The soundbar is the standout, featuring 19 total drivers — 12 of which are up-firing drivers — to deliver an unbelievably immersive Dolby Atmos experience. Additionally, the two surround speakers can operate either wirelessly or wired, and can be used as standalone portable Bluetooth speakers when you’re not watching TV.

Camp Snap

Camp Snap CS-8 Digital Video Recorder

Camp Snap’s CS-8 is a digital camera that resembles the Super 8 film cameras from the 1970s — only instead of film, it uses an SD card. The CS-8 is a video-only camera capable of recording 4K video and is designed for easy use. You simply turn it on, choose the filter (5 options) and aspect ratio (4 options) you want to use, and hold the trigger on the handle to start recording. The camera replicates the analog experience as you can’t see what you’ve shot until you’ve uploaded it to your computer.

Campfire Audio

Campfire Audio Grand Luna

The Grand Luna are the Portland-based hi-fi maker’s first pair of in-ear monitors with a planar-balanced armature hybrid driver configuration — they combine a 14mm planar magnetic driver with two precision-tuned balanced armatures. This allows them to deliver a rich, immersive sound with a wide frequency range (5Hz to 30kHz). Additionally, they have a new modular cable system that comes with three interchangeable terminators (3.5mm, 4.4mm, and USB-C DAC), so you can use them with various sources.

Shanling

Shanling CD80 II

The Shanling CD80 II is an upgraded version of the company’s 2024-released CD80 CD player. It’s equipped with the same tray-style CD loading mechanism as in the brand’s higher-end CD player, the Shanling CD-S100 ($589), and features an upgraded DAC (Cirrus Logic CS43198) chip. It is also integrated with dual headphone amplifiers and audio jacks, one 3.5mm (single-ended) or one 4.4mm (balanced), making it a good fit for headphone fans who want a more private CD listening experience.

LG CineBeam S

The CineBeam S is an ultra-short-throw (UST) projector — meaning it sits right below where you want the picture to be, and you don’t have to rearrange your room to accommodate it — that promises to deliver a true 4K picture up to 100 inches. Despite its compact size, it features built-in speakers that support Dolby Atmos, promising to deliver a cinematic audio experience. LG claims that the CineBeam S “can turn even the smallest space into a premier personal theater.” At the time of writing, US pricing and availability has yet to be released.

TP-Link

TP-Link BE3600 Wi-Fi 7 Travel Router

TP-Link’s BE3600 is the company’s first travel router that supports Wi-Fi 7 speeds. It’s designed bring fast, dependable internet with you on your travels. It connects to public Wi-Fi, whether at your hotel or the airport, and then you can wirelessly connect all your devices to the router without having to sign in to a Wi-Fi login page or go through those captive portals multiple times. It also supports most VPNs, ensuring you browse the web in private. It lacks a built-in battery, but can be charged via a portable power bank or even a laptop. (Note: Amazon drops the price by $30 if you use the promo code.)

Avid Hi-Fi

Avid Evo Two Loudspeakers

As part of the British hi-fi maker’s 30th anniversary, Avid has introduced a high-end pair of floorstanding loudspeakers. The Evo Two are the new flagship loudspeakers in the company’s acclaimed Evo Series — and they are essentially the next step up from its Evo Three floorstanding loudspeakers, which cost roughly $18,000. The Evo Two are 3.5-way floorstanding loudspeakers that feature an improved cabinet design and a revised driver arrangement, which, according to the brand, promises to “further enhance low-frequency performance and soundstage depth.”

Crosley

Crosley Miles Record Player

The Miles Record Player is a super-affordable all-in-one turntable designed to make listening to vinyl easy. It’s a plug-and-play turntable with a built-in speaker. Additionally, it features two-way Bluetooth, allowing you to stream music from your smartphone when not listening to vinyl, or stream vinyl to your wireless headphones or a Bluetooth speaker. The record player supports three speeds for 33 ⅓, 45 and 78 RPM records. It comes in one walnut-and-gold finish.

Cambridge Audio

Cambridge Audio Melomania P100 SE

The Melomania P100 SE are a new-and-improved version of Cambridge Audio’s Melomania P100, which were released in 2024. Like their predecessors, they are wireless noise-canceling headphones with pretty superb battery life — up to 100 hours with ANC off, up to 60 hours with ANC on. The difference is they feature upgraded sound thanks to newly tuned drivers and support for aptX Lossless, a Bluetooth codec that enables the streaming of CD-quality audio. They now feature the brand’s proprietary tech, called DynamEQ, which monitors the volume of your audio and subtly adjusts bass and treble. And they also come in a new blue finish. All these upgrades come at a $20 price increase.
