Osbornes of Evesham has moved up the high street.

The independent health care practice is now located at 70/72 High Street, in Evesham, just up the road from its previous site on Swan Lane.

The long-awaited move of the stalwart shop was attended by the mayor and mayoress of Evesham, who officially inaugurated the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The business moved location to the new ‘purpose-built’ facility due to the need for a bigger space to serve the local community.

Mustafa Ramji, who works at Osbornes of Evesham, explained: “The move enables us to expand our range of services.

“These now include comprehensive eyecare, audiology, ear wax removal, podiatry, aesthetics, and weight loss clinics.

“Osbornes of Evesham has been delivering healthcare services to the community of Evesham and its surrounding areas for over 45 years. Due to the expansion and renovation of our current premises on Swan Lane several times over the years, we have outgrown this location.

“The relocation has also provided us the opportunity to invest in state-of-the-art healthcare technology, including AI-based tools, which further enhance our ability to deliver personalised care and bespoke healthcare solutions.”

For instance, the healthcare clinic can now measure prescriptions of 0.01 dioptres, as opposed to the traditional 0.25-step measurements.

“Osbornes of Evesham is committed to reinvesting in our practice and services to benefit the community,” he said.

Speaking previously to The Evesham Journal, he added: “The new building is very easy to access.

“A lot of elderly people really struggle to access out services because there is no level access, but they will be able to walk straight into our new space.”

The opening event included a live illustrator capturing the day, alongside younger visitors participating in Lego competitions.

Staff were also on hand throughout the day to address any enquiries.

Reflecting on the event, Mr Ramji added: “It was a successful showcase of our practice, welcoming patients, former staff, community members, and dignitaries.”
