A person has been taken to hospital after being hit by a train in Bristol this afternoon (Tuesday, August 12).
Emergency services were called to the scene at Bristol Temple Meads around 3.30pm after a person was injured on the tracks.
They have been taken to hospital where the extent of their injuries are being assessed.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to the line near Bristol Temple Meads railway station at around 3.30pm today (12 August) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, and a person has been taken to hospital with injuries that are still being assessed.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
GWR has warned passengers that some lines at Temple Meads are blocked following the incident.
It added that emergency services are at the scene.
They said: “Unfortunately, a person has been struck by a train, leading to all lines being blocked. It is necessary to bring all trains in the affected area to an immediate stop.

Passengers face hour-long delays as some services have been cancelled.
Roads and traffic monitoring site, Inrix, reports: “Delays of up to 60 minutes and some cancellations on Great Western Railway between Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa, between Bristol Temple Meads and Severn Beach and between Bristol Temple Meads and Severn Tunnel Junction”.
