Sharon Stone is joining the cast of Euphoria Season 3 and recently revealed she encouraged Eric Dane amid the casting of the HBO series.
While on the red carpet for her new film Nobody 2, Stone remained coy about sharing details of her involvement on the final season of the Zendaya-starring series. However, she did gush over Dane, who will be returning to the show following his ALS diagnosis.
“Eric and I have been friends for a long time. A long time,” Stone said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “And I actually was like his support staff when he was trying to get the job on Euphoria. So he would come over to my house and give me gluten-free cookies, and we’d sit and discuss it because he really wanted that job.”
Per the Mayo Clinic, “Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis…is a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. ALS causes loss of muscle control. The disease gets worse over time.”
In an interview with Good Morning America in June, Dane said, “I’m fighting as much as I can. There’s so much about it that’s out of my control.” The actor also said, “In my heart, I just don’t feel like this is the end of me.”
Dane plays the role of Cal Jacobs in the Sam Levinson series. Cal is Nate’s (Jacob Elordi) closeted bisexual father who leads a double life.
Euphoria Season 3 will have newcomers join the cast like Kadeem Hardison, musician Rosalia, former professional football player Marshawn Lynch, Darrell Britt-Gibson (She Taught Love), Priscilla Delgado (Julieta), James Landry Hébert (1883), and Anna Van Patten (Gossip Girl) in notable guest star roles.
