Meghan Markle has been spotted wearing a very familiar jumper in the new trailer for the second series of her Netflix lifestyle show With Love, Meghan – one that the Princess of Wales wore first.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, wears a burgundy version of a soft ribbed jumper by French It-girl label Sézane that Kate Middleton donned in cream in 2023.

Eagle-eyed royal fans spotted the details of the crew neck jumper, which features a raglan shoulder and five buttons in a row from the wrist to the forearm, and compared it to the knitted co-ord Kate wore during her visit to Nottingham Trent University two years ago.

At the time, the Princess, 43, was a picture of elegance as she wore the cotton and merino Sami jumper with its matching Naelle midi skirt in an affordable outfit that cost £245 for the set.

She styled the co-ord with pearl earrings from Simone Rocha and suede pumps by Gianvito Rossi.

Meghan’s burgundy version is over £40 more expensive than Kate’s natural-hued jumper at £155, and is sold out in nearly all sizes on the Sézane website.

But the relaxed knit is one of Meghan’s more reasonably priced garments that she wears in the series, with the rest of her wardrobe and accessories amounting to thousands of pounds.

The second series of With Love, Meghan will see the Duchess wearing a dainty floral print midi dress with a belt by Carolina Herrera, priced at US$2,490 (approximately £1,838).

In another episode, she wears a second Carolina Herrera dress, this time a striped shirtdress priced at nearly £600.

Meghan also wears a striped A-line midi dress with thing straps by Veronica Beard, which is surprisingly affordable for £214 – but her chosen jewellery brings the outfit price up to well over £9,000.

She styles the navy blue and white striped dress with a diamond and gold necklace and pendant by Jessica McCormack, priced at an eyewatering £8,800.

In the first series of With Love, Meghan, the former royal also showcased her obsession with designer clothes and sparkling accessories, but she also threw some high street fashion into the mix.

For example, she wore a cashmere jumper by Jenni Kane, US$395 (£291) draped over a knitted T-shirt by Loro Piana, US$1,325 (£978) and paired the outfit with linen-blend pleated trousers by Zara.

However, another episode saw her dripping in designer, from her Zimmerman button-up shirt and shorts co-ord, US$1,070 (£790) to her Saint Laurent leather sandals, US$730 (£538), alongside Natalie Marie earrings, a Logan Hollowell necklace and an Ariel Gordon tennis bracelet valued at over US$10,700 (£7,900).

Prince Harry’s wife has always been a fan of designer threads, frequently stepping out in Aquazurra stilettos, of which she reportedly owns 26 pairs, and big name labels like Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta, Stella McCartney and Gabriela Hearst.

Her favourite Aquazurra heels start at around £500 and can go up to more than £1,100.

While promoting her lifestyle brand As Ever, Meghan has also been known to bring designer labels into her visuals.

She recently shared a clip to promote the second drop of her As Ever Napa Valley rosé on the eve of her 44th birthday, which showed her frolicking in the sun with a wicker basket filled with flowers and bottles of wine.

While her face did not feature in the video, she showed off her signature stack of rings on her left ring finger, including her engagement ring, wedding ring and an infinity ring, estimated to be worth around £210,000.

She also wore a gold Cartier Love Bracelet, which costs up to £7,050, and a gold Cartier Tank Watch that once belonged to Princess Diana, both of which she regularly wears.

The clip later showed a view of Meghan’s swinging feet as she sits atop a stone garden wall, clad in £720 tan-coloured Hermes Santorini sandals.

The Duchess is used to wearing valuable clothes that cost tens of thousands of pounds, particularly when she was still a working royal before she and Harry stepped down in 2020.

To announce her engagement to the Duke of Sussex, Meghan wore a Ralph & Russo haute couture dress that reportedly cost US$75,000 (£55,373) – but this was just the third most expensive outfit she has ever worn.

The most expensive dress Meghan has ever donned was her US$265,000 (£195,652) Clare Waight Kelly for Givenchy wedding dress, which featured an off-shoulder neck line and long sleeves, with a five metre-long veil that was embroidered with flowers representing the countries of the Commonwealth.

Second to that was the dress she wore for her reception, a US$157,000 (£115,915) minimalist  Stella McCartney dress with a halter neck and draped skirt.
