Councillor Lawrence O’Neill, Kilpatrick ward, said: “I’m absolutely delighted to see Clydebank Fire Station hosting an open day.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to educate both children and adults alike, while having fun at the same time.”

The event aims to highlight the vital role played by the fire service in the community.

According to a recent housing and communities committee meeting, the fire service attended 450 incidents between April and June, including 245 fires and 54 non-fire emergencies such as car accidents.

Firefighters rescued 15 people during that period.
