West Midlands Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to Cox’s Lane shortly after 9.40pm last night (August 13) to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 13-year-old boy, was rushed to hospital on blue lights after sustaining “serious injuries”.
Officers confirmed his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
The car involved in the collision fled the scene, with officers now appealing for information that could help them identify the driver.
In a statement, West Midlands Police said: “We were called to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Cox’s Lane, Cradley Heath at around 9.45pm last night (13 August).
“A boy aged 13 was taken to hospital with injuries which thankfully are not life-changing.
“The car left the scene following the collision and we’re carrying out enquiries to identify the driver.
“Anyone with information should call us on 101 quoting log 5866 of 13 August.”
A spokesperson from West Midlands Ambulance Service added: “We were called to reports of an RTC on Victoria Gardens in Cradley Heath at around 9.40pm and sent an ambulance to the scene.
“On arrival, crews found a pedestrian, a teenage boy, with serious injuries.
“Following treatment from medics, he was conveyed on blue lights to Russells Hall Hospital.”
