A US retailer is now selling the Amazfit Balance 2 XT smartwatch. This is a cheaper alternative to the Balance 2 smartwatch, with several software and hardware downgrades. It is listed as a 47 mm watch with an AMOLED display, up to 21 days battery life with typical use, and more than 170 sports modes.
The Amazfit Balance 2 XT smartwatch is now available at a US retailer. This wearable, which has yet to be officially launched by Amazfit, arrives as a cheaper alternative to the original Balance 2. Rumors about the device began in June, when it was thought to be a titanium variant of the Balance 2.
The Balance 2 XT smartwatch has been listed at Best Buy in the US for some time. Now, it is available to purchase; as previously stated, it is priced at $199.99. That makes it $100 cheaper than the regular Balance 2 smartwatch (curr. $299.99 at Amazon). At the time of writing, the website states that it is shipping to customers by August 16th, and ready to pick up in store from August 19th, indicating that the retailer already has stock. Several Reddit users have reported making an online purchase, with delivery and pickup dates in line with the above.
Amazfit’s Balance 2 XT smartwatch is 47 mm wide with a 1.5-inch AMOLED display. The product listing states that it can run for up to 21 days with typical use, or longer in power saving mode. You can use the watch to track various health metrics like heart rate, blood oxygen, stress and sleep, and you can log your exercise with over 170 sports modes. Compared to the original Balance 2 smartwatch, it lacks the Golf app and only offers 5 ATM water resistance, so it will not support diving. It is also worth noting that the Best Buy product listing appears to include some mistakes; for example, an Amazfit representative reported that the XT will use mineral rather than Sapphire glass.
There is currently only one colorway of the Amazfit Balance 2 XT smartwatch, Gray/Black. When Amazfit will officially launch this new cheaper wearable in the US or other regions like Europe remains to be seen.
