The Forth One St James Quarter session prize pack also includes £1,000 and a day’s recording, but members are happiest with the validation of winning.
Frontman Sean Sneddon said: “Ultimately, it’s the fact that people got behind us.
“It’s cool to get picked for things by judges, but this is voted for by the people, which means a lot more.

“You can get in your own head about music sometimes, but this proves that people are keen to support us.
“I think we’ll put the money towards some merch and recording, things we’ve been wanting to do.”

It’s been a busy year for the group, which released its new single RARI in March, right before playing a sold-out show at McQ’s.
Sean said: “That gig was the start of a new era for us, we got together as a band and said ‘we want to take this as far as we possibly can.’

“Since then, we’ve been putting everything into it, and it’s funny how when you have a plan, things start going your way.
“It’s nice to get people’s attention and make progress. Next year we’re going to focus on some well-produced singles that people can hear on the radio.”
More tracks are planned for this year, which Sean described as: “Stuff that we like that shows what we can do.
He added: “Next year’s more about taking on the world, one county at a time.”
