Prince Harry’s bond with his father and elder brother has remained chilly since before he revealed his choice to move to North America alongside his spouse, Meghan Markle.
The Duke of Sussex had a fleeting encounter with Prince Charles during a swift trip to the UK in 2022, but the meeting was described as short.
And when questioned about whether he longed for his father and Prince William, Prince Harry conspicuously avoided giving a direct response.
NBC Today presenter Hoda Kotb inquired: “Do you miss your brother or your dad?”.
The Duke responded: “For me, at the moment, I’m here focused on these guys and their families and giving everything that I can, 120 percent to them, to ensure they have the experience of a lifetime.
Prince Harry had previously claimed Charles stopped taking his calls
“That’s my focus here, and then when I leave here, I get back and my focus is my family, who I miss massively.”
The evasion didn’t go unnoticed by Royal observers, who instantly highlighted that the Duke hadn’t precisely tackled the host’s inquiry.
Royal correspondent Chris Ship remarked on Twitter: “Asked in his @TODAYshow interview if he missed his brother and his dad, Harry completely swerves the question.”

Prince Harry had earlier confessed that his connection with Prince Charles had grown strained after he chose to step back in March 2020.
Throughout his conversation with Oprah Winfrey, the Duke of Sussex alleged he had been financially severed following his departure, and Prince Charles had ceased answering his calls.
In the interview, the Duke said that before the announcement of his departure was released, he had three conversations with the Queen and two with his father “before he stopped taking my calls.”
When questioned about why Prince Charles ceased responding, Prince Harry explained: “Because at that point, I took matters into my own hands.
“I needed to do this for my family. This is not a surprise to anybody; it’s really sad that it got to this point, but I’ve got to do something for my mental health, for my wife’s, and for Archie’s as well.”
Nevertheless, Harry reconnected with the Prince of Wales in 2022 during a short visit to the Queen alongside Meghan Markle.
Yet Angela Levin, the Duke’s biographer, observed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex showed up “15 minutes late” and left the Prince of Wales waiting.
Ms Levin remarked: “Well, they arrived late for their meeting with Prince Charles, so they had a brief ten minutes together.
“The Duchess of Cornwall was there so that there was no disagreement about who said what.
“Charles and she had to go off to the Maundy celebrations, and so they weren’t there for very long.”
