Belfast’s Deputy Lord Mayor has said Ukrainian refugees he works with here have expressed fear at the prospect of land being given away following Donald Trump’s meeting with Vladimir Putin last week.
The SDLP’s Paul Doherty, who travelled to the war-torn country in 2022 to deliver aid, said Ukrainians living in Northern Ireland have “anxiety” about what may be demanded from Volodymyr Zelensky when he meets President Trump today.
