A SHOPKEEPER suffered horror injuries after being sprayed with a “substance” during a robbery at a store in Glasgow.
The 24-year-old man suffered “serious injuries” when the thug struck, before making off with a sum of cash at the shop on Hawthorn Street, in the city.

Police said they are hunting for a male suspect – described as white, slim and wearing a green and grey tracksuit top, orange shorts, black socks and black trainers – who fled in the direction of Memel Street following the terrifying incident on Saturday around 9.05pm.
The shopkeeper was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment and is recovering there. It is not known what his condition is.
Detective Sergeant Greg Turnbull said “extensive inquiries” to locate the attacker were ongoing.
He urged anyone who knows the identity of the suspect or has private CCTV footage of the area to share it with officers.
“This was an extremely frightening experience for the shop worker which left him with serious injuries requiring hospital treatment.
“Extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace the man responsible and we are asking anyone who knows who he is or where he might be to get in touch.
“We are also asking anyone who saw anything before or after the robbery to make contact.
“Please also check private CCTV and dash-cam footage to see if you have captured something that could assist with our investigation, “he said.
