Birmingham City picked up their first Championship win of the season last weekend as they beat Blackburn Rovers 2-1 on Saturday. BCFC left it late as Jay Stansfield equalised from the spot in the 90th minute, before Lyndon Dykes scored the winner in the 98th minute.
After a busy summer of recruitment, Blues boss Chris Davies is now interested in making his latest signing, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain being a target for the club, as per the Mirror.

The English midfielder has spent the last two years at Turkish club Besiktas, who are reportedly willing to let the 32-year-old leave on a free, despite having a year left on his contract.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is also interested in a return to English football and could be handed an opportunity by the newly promoted Championship club.
The former England international has struggled with injury throughout his career and played only 18 times in the Super Lig. He will hope to keep himself fit during the upcoming season, with a potential move to the Midlands club on the cards.
Birmingham City have had an ambitious summer where they have further shown their spending power, and this could now be set to continue as they look to lure Oxlade-Chamberlain to St. Andrew’s.
A big coup for Birmingham City
Having shown their spending power already, Birmingham City could make their most notable signing if they seal the services of Oxlade-Chamberlain.
During his time at both Arsenal and Liverpool, Oxlade-Chamberlain showed that they could perform at the highest levels of football, scoring important goals in the Champions League. His career also includes 35 caps for England, for whom he got seven goals.

If Oxlade-Chamberlain could recapture the form that he has showed in the past for BCFC in the Championship, then he could make a big impact in the division. This would only help Davies, as his side aims to push themselves towards the top end of the table.
The latest on a list of Birmingham City signings
Upon their return to the Championship, Birmingham City part-owners Tom Wagner and Tom Brady set out to improve the squad with the hope of taking the club to the Premier League. This looks like it could continue up until the end of the transfer window.
Birmingham City summer transfers
The club made the statement signing of Kyogo Furuhashi from Stade Rennais. They also reunited with Demarai Gray who joined the club from Al-Ettifaq and he set up Dykes’ winning goal last Saturday.
With BCFC making a strong start to the season, the club will hope it can continue and it could be supported by the potential arrival of Oxlade-Chamberlain.
