Liverpool star Ryan Gravenberch and his girlfriend have shared heartwarming news about their expanding family. The 22 year old midfielder has yet to make his mark in Arne Slot’s squad for the 2025/26 season, despite being instrumental in securing the Premier League crown last campaign.
Gravenberch emerged as one of last season’s standout performers, thriving in his deep-lying midfield position and featuring in 37 of 38 Premier League fixtures during Slot’s debut term at Anfield. But his involvement at the start of this new season has been delayed for the most wonderful of reasons.
The Dutch international missed Liverpool’s Community Shield defeat to Crystal Palace as his girlfriend, Cindy Peroti, gave birth to their first baby the evening before the match.

He subsequently sat out Friday’s league curtain-raiser against Bournemouth due to a suspension carried forward from the previous campaign.
This has given Gravenberch precious time to focus on his new family responsibilities – and the couple have now posted their inaugural social media announcement since their bundle of joy arrived.
“Our little miracle has arrived [white heart emoji],” the pair wrote in a joint Instagram post on Monday evening.
The touching announcement has garnered widespread support from Liverpool colleagues, their significant others and the broader football fraternity. Hugo Ekitike, Conor Bradley and Dominik Szoboszlai all expressed their delight at the news by commenting heart eye emojis on the post, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Szoboszlai, a fellow new father who welcomed his first child with wife Borka Buszik earlier this summer, would particularly understand the joy of such a family milestone.
Curtis Jones, another recent dad in the Liverpool squad, also showed his support by commenting a heart emoji on Gravenberch’s post. His fiancée Saffie Khan added: “Perfect [pink heart emoji].”
Cody Gakpo gave the post a thumbs up, while his partner Noa van der Bij expressed her affection with a pink heart emoji.
Other Liverpool teammates including Virgil van Dijk, Alexis Mac Allister, Stefan Bajcetic, Jeremie Frimpong, Andy Robertson, Vitezslav Jaros, Milos Kerkez, Wataru Endo, Harvey Elliott, Ibrahima Konate and James McConnell also liked the post to show their support.
Former Liverpool players Ryan Babel and Gini Wijnaldum, along with Dutch internationals Jorrel Hato, Noa Lang and Justin Kluivert, also interacted with the family update.
Gravenberch will have to wait another week before he can return to action for the new season. However, having served his one-game ban, he is now eligible to rejoin the Liverpool squad for their upcoming match against Newcastle United.
