Duos Edge AI and FiberLight expand partnership to deploy edge data centers in underserved markets

Duos Edge AI and FiberLight recently announced an expanded strategic partnership to accelerate the deployment of edge data centers (EDCs) and improve high-speed connectivity in underserved U.S. markets.

The partnership leverages Duos Edge AI’s modular, energy-efficient EDCs and FiberLight’s extensive fiber optic network, including 13,000+ route miles in Texas.

A successful project in Corpus Christi demonstrated the partnership’s efficiency, saving costs and minimizing downtime by rapidly deploying an EDC near existing infrastructure to support critical sectors such as education, healthcare, and AI-driven applications in both urban and rural areas.

Duos Edge AI is underway contracting 15 EDCs by the end of 2025, with active deployments in Texas and future expansions in the Midwest and Southeastern U.S.

“Expanding our partnership with FiberLight is a significant step forward in our mission,” says Doug Recker, president and founder of Duos Edge AI. “Their extensive fiber network, combined with our rapidly deployable edge data centers, allows us to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions where they’re needed most faster than ever before.”

The EDCs can deploy within 90 days, are designed for high performance, and proximity to end users, enabling real-time data processing. FiberLight’s high-capacity network enhances connectivity, supporting digital transformation for enterprises, government, and education sectors.

This partnership aligns with Duos Edge AI’s mission to bring advanced technology to underserved communities, driving innovation and economic development.
