Noel Gallagher gushed about his brother Liam saying he was ‘smashing it’ and ‘proud of him’ amid their huge Oasis reunion tour.
The Mancunian brothers joined forces once again in a series of live shows since their 2009 split, taking the Live ’25 Tour on the road for major shows across the UK and the globe.
After a run of homecoming gigs in Manchester’s Heaton Park, the group, fronted by the Gallagher brothers, are now gearing up to take their performances overseas to the likes of Canada, North America, South America and Australia.

In an interview with TalkSport, Noel, 58, discussed being back on the road with brother Liam and said the pair were ‘completely blown away’ by the response from fans, with the tour poised to be one of the highest-grossing in music history.
He comically admitted to ‘being a bit shaky’ during the chat on Tuesday (August 19) after returning home from two sell-out nights in Dublin’s Croke Park.
“[I’m] on top of the world, it couldn’t be any better,” he said.
When asked about his time back on stage with brother Liam, he said: “It’s great just to be back with Bonehead and Liam and just be doing it again.

“I guess when it’s all said and done, we’ll sit and reflect on it, but it’s great being back in a band with Liam. I forgot how funny he was.
After a quip that Liam’s vocal was now ‘AI’, he added: “Liam’s smashing it and I’m proud of him. Having been fronting a band for 16 years, I know how difficult that is and I couldn’t do the stadium thing like he does it. It’s not in my nature.
“But I’ve got to say, I look at him and think ‘good for you mate’. You know, he’s been amazing.”
Responding to the success of the tour, which included five sell-out nights at Manchester’s Heaton Park and further gigs at Wembley, Noel admitted he was ‘completely blown away’.
“Everyone is,” he said. “It’s difficult to put it into words actually. Every night is the crowd’s first night, so every one’s got that kind of same energy to it.

“It’s been truly amazing, I’m not usually short for words, but I can’t really articulate it.
Discussing the moment before taking to the stage on the first night of the tour, in Cardiff on July 4, Noel added: “We aren’t really a band who have huddles before we go on. For me personally, I grossly underestimated what I was getting into.

“After about five minutes, I was like ‘can we just go back to the dressing room and start this again.’ My legs turned to jelly about halfway through the second song and I could have done with going back and taking a minute.”
During the interview on Tuesday, Noel also revealed that the venue he was most excited to play ahead of the upcoming gigs was the River Plate’s Stadium in Argentina.
He explained: “It’s the second last show and we’ve played there a couple of times. The Argentinians are without doubt in the top five places for us to play in the world and it’s the furthest away from Ireland and Manchester.
“But yeah, everybody is looking forward to River Plate because it’s a special, special, special place for us.”
