The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh made a surprise appearance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where they enjoyed a magic show by illusionist Sean Alexander.

As always, Sophie was impeccably dressed, opting for a cosy jumper paired with a tiered maxi skirt from Lexy London

The Chelsea-based label appears to be a new royal favourite – this marks the second look she has worn from the brand in just a week, following the debut of their Nancy dress at a veterans’ engagement.

Her latest choice, a fan print maxi skirt in soft green and pink tones, is a flattering, versatile addition to any summer wardrobe.

The flowing silhouette offers a slimming effect and works equally well with a blouse or T-shirt as it does with a soft knit, making it a great transitional piece for autumn.
