Manor Solomon’s return to Leeds United cannot be ruled out this summer.

Leeds United marked their return to the Premier League with a 1-0 win against Everton at Elland Road, though frailties were still exposed.

Despite dominating the game, especially in the early stages, Leeds failed to create any clear-cut chances, and much of that was down to their lack of attacking quality.

Leeds are set to sign Noah Okafor in an attempt to rectify that, but a return for Solomon could still be on the cards in the next two weeks.

Thomas Frank ready to sanction Solomon exit

Solomon was outstanding for Leeds last season, and it seemed like a no-brainer to bring him back to Elland Road if the chance emerged.

However, Leeds seemingly moved on from that interest, but after failing to sign Igor Paixao, they could return in the latter stages of the window, and Paul Robinson believes it would still be an excellent signing.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, he said: “Manor Solomon was a big integral part of what they did last year, he was quality.

“I’d be delighted if he came back, and I still think there’s an opportunity they can.

Solomon’s stats in all competitions last season.

“When Thomas Frank did his post-game interview when they were talking about Son leaving, he went on to say that the squad’s heavily subscribed in those areas, named about five to eight players, and Solomon wasn’t one of them.

“So I do think there’s an opportunity to still get him. Why is it taking this long if they do want to get him? I don’t know.”

Leeds need a left-winger, while Solomon needs somewhere he can go and play regular first-team football. It’s a match made in heaven for several reasons.

Solomon knows the squad, knows the club and perhaps more importantly, knows what is required to thrive in the Premier League, having done so in the past with Fulham.

Unless Leeds have a trick up their sleeve in the last 12 days of the window, it would be a mistake to pass up on his signing.
