A ‘famous’ ice cream man has been stabbed to death in north west London.
The man, 38, was stabbed yesterday evening in Monks Park, Wembley.
He was treated at the scene but was declared dead soon after ambulance crews arrived at 6.15pm
Police arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of murder early Wednesday, and a 31-year-old woman was arrested for conspiracy to murder at the scene.
Local resident Asim Mahmood Butt, 39, said the married man and father-of-one was a ‘famous ice cream guy’ in the Tokyngton neighbourhood.
His van, known for having a large teddy bear in the passenger seat, had been parked at the side of the road at the time of the stabbing, Asim said.

He claimed that the victim, who started selling cold treats last year, was stabbed ‘eight times’.
‘We don’t know the reason why, but all that we know is that a guy with a grey hoodie stabbed him eight times. That’s what I’ve been told,’ he said.
‘I know his brothers as well – they’re all local. We all used to play cricket and football here in Monks Park.’
A witness, who does not want to be named, said the van was towed away from the scene in the early hours today.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller said: ‘Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family and friends at this hugely difficult time.
