Foxconn has been the name synonymous with Apple’s supply chain for years. The company has produced millions of iPhones every year for its massive factory floors in China and India. But, with the growing demand for AI infrastructure, Foxconn is now retooling its operations to manufacture high-performance servers that power artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and data centers. This shift in operations marks a departure from its role as a behind-the-scenes assembler of consumer tech, positioning Foxconn as a key player in the future of enterprise hardware.According to a report by Business Insider, Barclays analysts Jiong Shao, Lian Xiu Duan, and Xinyao Song said, “The company has grown from its legacy business of building smartphones or assembling computers for the likes of Apple to being a critical player in not only AI servers but also in emerging new product categories such as EVs and humanoid robots”.

Building the backbone of AI
