James Mercer (62) paid £1.15m for the reportedly ‘cursed’ dilapidated mansion, which had been on the market for £1.35m.
The keen cyclist and father of two owns bought the property with his partner, Leike Qu, who said the couple they “fell in love” with the detached Tudor-era inspired home.

The couple purchased the home back earlier this year in January, months after Price was evicted from home after failing to pay her mortgage.
“We are just very ordinary and quiet people who fell in love with this country house,” Qu told the Daily Mail.
The couple are understood to be investing in the property’s revamp, with the exterior now covered in scaffolding.
According to the Daily Mail, Mr Mercer’s business involves selling household furniture.
Price bought the troubled mansion back in 2014 for £2 million, and lived in the home for a decade.
The former model previously claimed the nine-bedroom West Sussex property was “cursed” after a series of unfortunate events including break-ins and numerous pets dying.

The decade of misfortune for the family lead her 18-year-old daughter, Princess Andre to call the residency a “very scary place”.
Rubbish has piled up both inside and outside of the home amid Price’s previous attempt to renovate the property, which was the subject of a 2022 documentary “Katie Price’s Mucky Mansion”.
Before the property was put on the market by HJ Burt, it had been tended to by contract cleaners. The condition of the mansion reportedly made it difficult for Price to find a buyer.
Price has claimed that the ten year battle to renovate the home and the other misfortunes led her to seek therapy after battling anxiety.
“It is absolutely cursed. My anxiety got worse in that house.”
“I hate that house. Whoever buys it, I warn them, they will get bad luck there,” Price told the Daily Mail.
“It is absolutely cursed. My anxiety got worse with that house. There was a point when I couldn’t even walk up the driveway without having a panic attack.
“I had therapy about the house. I should never have gone back there. Now I am out of it, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done.”
