The group confirmed the location having signed a 20-unit master franchise agreement for the UK with CD’s Holdings earlier this year.
Restaurants in Sussex and Hampshire will follow the opening in Kent.
Captain D’s, which was founded in 1969 and has more than 530 restaurants across 23 US states, serves a wide variety of seafood that includes the brand’s ‘signature’ batter-dipped fish, as well as grilled items such as shrimp, tilapia and salmon.
CD’s Holdings is described as ‘seasoned entrepreneurs’ with experience in the restaurant business, as well as other ventures, including security companies and accountancy firms in the UK.
Alongside its master franchise agreement, Captain D’s is also looking for more multi-unit franchisees to open additional locations across the UK.
Speaking back in March, Hair Parra, senior vice president of international operations and development for Captain D’s, said: “This is an exciting time in the growth of our brand.
“Our master franchisees are committed to making a sustainable impact in the UK, and we are committed to working alongside them and offering new opportunities to other entrepreneurs as we expand into new international markets.”
