Rory McIlroy won the Masters in Augusta last Sunday
When it comes to the best sportsperson ever to come from Northern Ireland or the island as a whole, Rory McIlroy must now be right at the top following his Masters win last week.
Sunday night was the most riveting TV I’ve watched in a long time. In a way, the manner of the win made it even more special as had he won at a canter it may not have had quite the same effect, although I’m sure he would have been more than happy to have finished the job in far less dramatic style.
