Kilauea, on Hawaii’s Big Island, started spewing fresh lava at around 14:04 local time (01:04 BST) on 22 August, the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory reports.
This is the 31st eruptive episode the volcano has experienced since the latest eruption began in December 2024.
