A road was closed after two buses collided this afternoon. A diversion was put in place after the buses crashed into each other at the junction of Rochdale Road and St Mary’s Way in Oldham.

The incident occurred at around 12.20pm. The Bee Network is looking into the cause of the incident.

A TfGM spokesperson said: “We’re aware of a collision between two Bee Network buses, which happened shortly after 12.20 today at the junction of Rochdale Road and St Mary’s Way, in Oldham.

“The road was partially blocked, and a short diversion was put in place, which was cleared within an hour. We’ll be working with the operator to establish the cause of the incident and take any further steps as appropriate.”
