2. Nicole struggles with her emotions

Cassie is still in a critical condition following her attack and Nicole is relieved when Cassie’s birth mum finally pays her a visit.
However, Vicky struggles with seeing Cassie in such a bad way and makes a quick exit.
Although Vicky tries to explain her distress, Nicole is unable to hold back and berates her for abandoning Cassie a second time.
Nicole’s outburst infuriates the doctors, and she is banned from visiting Cassie again.
3. Iain and Faith face a crisis

Faith tells Iain that she has booked couple’s counselling, determined to move past their recent issues.
Iain struggles during the session and is unable to cooperate in the way Faith had hoped.
Faith is unhappy with Iain’s attitude and makes him commit to coming back for another session afterwards.
4. Rash makes another shocking discovery

As Rash reels from Sunny’s confession, he is horrified to learn that Terry – the pharmacy delivery driver – has been brought into the ED with severe injuries.
Terry has been brutally attacked after the gang hijacked his delivery, all because Sunny tipped them off.
This changes everything for Rash, who starts to wonder whether he can really keep Sunny’s secret after all. What will he do?
5. Nicole makes a life-changing decision

Nicole shares with Ngozi what happened with Cassie’s birth mother in ITU.
As the conversation moves on to Nicole’s own upbringing, Ngozi realises that Nicole has been projecting her feelings and decides to take matters into her own hands.
With Ngozi’s help, Nicole decides to seek the closure she needs and visit her birth mum.
6. Flynn gets a new focus

Flynn is struggling with having to keep Nicole up to date on Cassie’s treatment plan.
Despite the distractions, he throws into helping a pregnant woman but is left mortified when he later realises that all is not as it seems with her case.
Flynn later finds himself speaking to Cassie’s mum, who shares her fears of losing her daughter for a second time.
Her words resonate with Flynn and he becomes fully committed to doing everything he can to help Cassie.
7. Iain confides in Stevie

Iain fills Stevie in on the disastrous counselling session.
He tells Stevie that he was unsettled hearing Faith discuss her addiction, which echoed his mum’s words on her battle with alcoholism.
Stevie is confident that the couple can work through their problems, but Iain isn’t as sure. What does the future hold for Iain and Faith?
