Manchester United take on Fulham in the Premier League this afternoon.

United lost 1-0 against Arsenal in their opening game of the new Premier League campaign, but there were positives to take and Arsenal were fortunate to claim the three points.

Ruben Amorim is hoping his side can get off the mark against Fulham today. United won home and away fixtures against Fulham in the top flight last season and need another victory at Craven Cottage.

Regarding the team news, Lisandro Martinez and Noussair Mazraoui are the only unavailable players.

Here’s how our writers think United should line up:

Samuel Luckhurst

United have an easy choice to make in goal: play the first choice. Altay Bayindir would be lucky to make the bench at Craven Cottage.

Luke Shaw was fine against Arsenal but it is a point of principle to take him out of the team and recall Harry Maguire. Amorim won’t do it but Maguire was one of United’s best players last season and has been for the past two years.

Manuel Ugarte did nothing to earn a place in the starting XI last week but United cannot go on with Casemiro. They need to try and make it work with the defensive midfielder they shelled out up to £50.75m for last year.

Amad and Benjamin Sesko would make a promising attack even better.

United performed well against Arsenal and did not deserve to lose, so I would make just three changes to take on Fulham. The first would be replacing Bayindir with Onana. Bayindir was at fault for Arsenal’s goal last weekend, and it says something when fans are desperate for Onana to return.

Dalot was preferred to start at right wing-back, but I would start Amad at Craven Cottage. Amad was bright from the bench against Arsenal and should be rewarded with a start.

Finally, Sesko must start down the middle after making a cameo from the bench.
