Stunning location offers a peaceful alternative to crowded Canary IslandsView to the island of La Graciosa from Mirador del Rio
UK tourists love to flock to popular Canary Islands like Tenerife and Lanzarote all year round.

With golden beaches, stunning turquoise seas and wonderful views, La Graciosa has all the features which make the Canaries famous – but none of the crowds.

The island is much quieter than its popular neighbours and allows visitors to escape other holidaymakers and enjoy a more intimate trip.
Only 30 minutes away from Lanzarote, the island is home to just 700 people, who nearly all reside in the village of Caleta de Sebo, Express reports.
La Graciosa is also one of the last places in Europe with no asphalted roads, increasing the sense of remoteness.
Rather than paved roads full of traffic, visitors will find sandy tracks and trails waiting to be explored.
While there are no paved roads, 4×4 taxis are available to take tourists around the island.
Many visitors choose to explore the small island by bike or on foot.
The lack of roads means there is less noise and pollution, adding to the peaceful atmosphere.
The “hidden in time” island features six picturesque beaches with largely claim turquoise waters.
Playa de las Conchas is one of the main beaches on the island, where visitors can kick back and relax on its white sand beach, surrounded by an imposing volcanic landscape.
While it is the smallest of the Canary Islands at just under 30km² La Graciosa is part of the Chinijo Archipelago Natural Park, which is also the largest marine reserve in Europe.
