Gloria Estefan and her manager/husband – Emilio Estefan, Jr. – revealed their plans to file a defamation lawsuit against Manzaro Joseph, who falsely claimed he was transported via tunnel through their lavish Star Island Miami mansion to Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs‘ neighboring property back in 2015.
The Florida man sued Diddy on April 1 for being ‘drugged, transported against his will, and sexually maimed as a victim of a coercive and organized criminal enterprise’ during Christian ‘King’ Combs’ 17th birthday bash, and he named Emilio as a defendant.
Manzaro alleged that Gloria saw him beaten up in a ‘drug-induced stupor’ and demanded someone call an ambulance before Emilio silenced her and ushered her away into the crowd.
The court officially dismissed all allegations against Estefan on July 24 considering the Cuban couple never resided there, but a family member and his toddler were living in the home between 2012-2019 and they would have been notified of such an incident taking place.
‘Listen, I’m so glad they throw the whole thing out of the court, because it was ridiculous. Number one…we [were not] in Miami. We [were here] in New York,’ Emilio told TMZ last Friday.
‘We’re going to have to [file] a lawsuit against them because, you know, we work hard to develop a reputation for many years. We have a family, and it hurts the kids sometimes, what they hear.’

The 72-year-old producer-musician continued: ‘I’m glad that it’s over, but I think they’re going to hear from me now because they have to pay for it. They’re going to have to pay and probably apologize. All that was a set up to make money, and that’s not going to happen.’
Estefan also noted: ‘You cannot have a tunnel in Star Island because it’s all water. It’s an island.’
The 67-year-old pop star told the outlet they were ‘pleased’ Emilio was dropped from ‘fantasy’ lawsuit but now ‘they’re going to have some explaining to do.’
‘It should be laid to rest. We have nothing to do with any of that, and it’s just sad that because we’re neighbors, you know, you get thrown into stuff,’ Gloria explained.
‘The truth will rise to the top.’
The Daily Mail has reached out to the reps for Emilio & Gloria Estefan for comment.
The 55-year-old rap mogul’s attorney previously denied Joseph’s accusations: ‘This complaint demonstrates the depraved lengths plaintiffs will travel to garner headlines in pursuit of a payday.
‘No sane person reading this complaint could credit this story. [Diddy] looks forward to having his day in court where these lies – and the perverse motives of those who told them – will be revealed.’
Diddy faces up to 20 years in prison at his October 3 sentencing for being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, but he was acquitted of the more serious charges (sex trafficking and racketeering) after his federal trial on July 2.
On September 1, the doting grandparents will celebrate Estefan’s (born Gloria María Milagrosa Fajardo García) 68th birthday immediately followed by their son Nayib’s 45th birthday and their 47th wedding anniversary.
