Man United got their first point of the season against Fulham on Sunday and they’re back in action on Wednesday in the League Cup.Noussair Mazraoui is yet to play this season
Manchester United are off the mark in the Premier League but it wasn’t the three points they were hoping for.
United drew 1-1 with Fulham on Sunday but they had more than enough chances to win the game, not least Bruno Fernandes’ penalty which he skied over the bar.
There were positives to take from the performance, as there were in the opening day defeat to Arsenal, but Ruben Amorim knows his side need to start winning games sooner rather than later. They’ll expect to get their first win of the season on the board on Wednesday when they face Grimsby in the League Cup.
Here’s a look at the latest on the injury front after the trip to Craven Cottage:
Lisandro Martinez
Injury: ACL.
The Argentina international is still recovering from an ACL injury he suffered back in February.
Speaking on Martinez ahead of the clash with Fulham, Amorim said: “Licha is out, Nous is out, the rest of the guys are fit and ready to play.”
Possible return: Unknown.
Noussair Mazraoui
Injury: Knock.
As mentioned above, Amorim ruled Mazraoui out of the Fulham game but did not confirm when he would be fit to return.
The former Bayern Munich defender has not featured since the first friendly of the summer against Leeds and has not been seen in any training imagery released by the club since then.
Possible return: Unknown.
