Police have confirmed that the collision involved a car and a motorbike, with the rider being taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.
The condition of the motorcyclist remains unknown.
Our reporter attended the scene of the incident and described that a marked police van and car, as well as an unmarked police car and an ambulance, attended the scene.
The incident caused disruption on the busy road, but Glasgow City Council confirmed that all disruption had cleared at around 3.10pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.55pm on Monday, August 25, we received a report of a crash on High Street at the junction with George Street in Glasgow involving a car and a motorbike.
“Emergency services attended and the rider was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.”
