Five years ago, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior royals. And, since then, people have seemed to have no issue with going on in them for any reason possible. Although the two stepped back from their roles, they’re still in the media spotlight. Prince Harry published a book in 2023, Spare, and Meghan is set to appear in her Netflix show for a second time, With Love, Meghan, this summer. Although the two remain a united front these days, it turns out that savage comments about them date back years. Apparently, Prince Harry’s friends allegedly said a really savage remark when they met Meghan for the first time.
Savage five words Prince Harry’s friends allegedly said
According to a 2022 book written by Tom Bower, Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors, after Harry and Meghan made their relationship official in 2016, and shortly afterwards, his friends gave savage feedback.
The book, via The US Express, reads: “She was invited to join one of his shooting weekends at Sandringham… Harry’s inner circle was taken aback by Meghan’s behaviour in their first meeting.”
Apparently, after the first meeting, “text messages were quickly shared between the attendees as they departed.”
Meghan was hit with a harsh critique
Per Bower’s book, the text messages exchanged between Harry’s pals read: “Harry must be f*****g nuts.”
And, another apparently read: “She’s a total nightmare.”
The following year, Meghan and Harry went on to get engaged, and in 2018, they tied the knot. Now, they’re still happily married and have two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
The alleged messages sent by Harry’s friends aren’t the first harsh words to be fired Meghan’s way. Prince Philip reportedly had some choice words to say after the couple’s wedding ceremony, too.
